Screen resolution on ipad air 4th gen

AlejandroG 3 years ago updated by Vladimir Ovchinnikov (expert) 3 years ago 9

The ipad air 4th gen screen resolution is stated to be 2360 x 1640. When creating a panel project of that exact resolution, the project don't fit the screen of the ipad, having a empty gap on the sides.

Any idea why this happens?

Here is a screenshot of the project settings, with no scaling, the ipad resolution and green color for the unused area

The project is just a background image.

And this is the result. As you can see the background doesn't fill the screen

Hello.

Let us know the model as it is shown on the tablet case. Install ActMonitor, open It, and go to Tech Specs. What resolution is specified in the Display field?

The model is A2316. The ActMonitor app says unkown model (the ipad is latest model, maybe not recognized by the app)

Hello.

Try Scaling = Proportionally.

Scaling proportionally fills the sides of the screen, not the top and bottom. I want to use a native resolution without scaling. If I’m using the resolution of the panel there should be no gaps, please review this, the app is not working properly

Same result.

Changed the color of the unused area to green, and no scaling.

Hello.

At the moment, we don't have the same device available to test the i3 pro on it. We will try to investigate this work in the emulator, but we do not guarantee a quick result. As a workaround, try setting the background color to black, so the green border should be invisible.
