RenderOGL.dll issue

Dirk 5 years ago in Applications / Studio (Server editor) updated by Vladimir Ovchinnikov (expert) 5 years ago 3

Hi

A few days ago I have started experiencing issues with the emulator. Mostly when I start the emulator I receive the following message in the log

RENDER Use of the Blur effect on [RenderOGL.dll] with your video card is not possible

My video cards are Intel and AMD Radeon.

I have been using the same hardware for iRidium for years without this issue. I have updated all my video drives with no success. Symptoms are:

1. slow to select and move objects on a popup

2. slow (slower than normal) to load the emulator

3. when the emulator loads the black background is white, dark grey buttons are light grey. White text can't be seen.

I have changed the options to DirectX from GL and that has improved the delay but not changed the emulator.

Thanks

Dirk

Hello.

Blur is not available on some Intel graphics cards. Therefore, i3 pro displays an informational message because it can trigger the behavior you described. Solution options: force switch to external graphics card (do not use Intel), change render from OpenGL to DirectX 11 (if the latter is available). Can you clarify: has I3 pro always been slow on your PC or has it started in new versions? If it started recently, what versions worked fine?

Hi Vladimir

Thanks for the speedy response. Everything has been OK for years using iridium and it only just started a few days ago.

I have forced my notebook to only used the Radeon graphics card and it sees to have resolved the issue for now. The issue started last Friday but then it did start working OK over the weekend (no problems) but today started failing again.

I'll wait a few days to see if it has been permanently fixed.

Thanks

Dirk

Good. Let us know if you have any problems.
